The XL and Z10 models originally came with a black impeller, but in March of 2011, we transitioned to the current green impeller. This change was made to extend the lifespan of both the machine and the impeller itself. The color switch also helps differentiate between the older and newer designs.
If you currently have a black impeller on your XL or Z10, the new green impeller is fully compatible and will perform just as well—if not better!
