# Can I Use a Cyclone Rake with a Mulching Kit?

When setting up your Cyclone Rake, you might wonder if it can work alongside the mulching kit on your mower. This is a common question, especially since mulching is a popular feature for many lawn care enthusiasts.

## Mulching Kits and the Cyclone Rake

Unfortunately, you cannot use a mulching kit while your Cyclone Rake is connected to your mower. Here's why:

- Mulching kits block or cover the discharge chute on your mower deck
- The Cyclone Rake requires an open discharge chute to create proper airflow and suction
- The mulching kit physically prevents the Mower Deck Adapter (MDA) or rubber collar from connecting properly

## What You'll Need to Do

When you want to use your Cyclone Rake:

- Remove the mulching kit from your mower
- Ensure the discharge chute is completely open and unobstructed
- Connect your Cyclone Rake according to the standard instructions

When you want to mulch:

- Disconnect your Cyclone Rake
- Reinstall your mulching kit
- Resume normal mulching operations
