How to Identify Your Ferris Mower Style and Get the Right Cyclone Rake Setup

Prev Next

Ferris mowers come in two main rear styles: Flat Back and Ladder Back. To determine which style you have, start by checking the rear of your mower.

  • Ladder Back: This style has tubular bars wrapping around the rear, forming a β€œladder-like” shape.

  • Flat Back: If your mower doesn’t have those bars and the back is flat or boxed in, you likely have the Flat Back version.

If you’re not quite sure which one you’ve got, no problem. Just send us a clear photo of the rear of your mower, and we’ll help confirm it.

Why We Need Photos and Measurements

Your Ferris mower can have different deck configurations, and we want to make sure your Cyclone Rake setup fits just right. To do that, we need a few photos and measurements from you.

Here’s What to Send:

  1. Deck Opening Photos

    • One clear top view and one side view of the deck opening.

    • Please remove any flap or door before taking the photos.

  2. Deck Opening Measurements

    • Measure the height and width of the deck opening in inches.

  3. Back View of the Mower

    • A full photo showing the entire rear end of your mower.

  4. Right Side View

    • A clear side shot to help us evaluate space and connection points.

What We Do With This Info

Once we receive your photos and measurements, here’s what happens next:

  • Our tech team reviews your setup.

  • We confirm compatibility and determine which Mower Deck Adapter (MDA) and hitch will work best.

  • We’ll reach out with a recommendation and move forward with your order using the correct components.

This extra step helps avoid fitment issues and ensures your Cyclone Rake will hook up smoothly and work like it should.
