Since Tecumseh closed their doors in February 2009, we no longer carry replacement parts for these engines, but we can still help point you in the right direction. ## Common Issues and Quick Fixes ### Slipping Throttle If the throttle on your Tecumseh engine is slipping down during operation: - Remove the air filter to access the carburetor area - Locate the small brass nut or screw alongside the throttle - Tighten this screw firmly (but don't overtighten) - This will press a plate against the slider of the throttle knob, helping it stay in position ## Finding Replacement Parts Unfortunately, we discontinued using Tecumseh engines some time ago and do not carry replacement parts. The specific Tecumseh models used in older Cyclone Rakes were: - Model #OHH50 (5.0HP engine) - Model #OHH60 (6.0HP engine) For replacement parts, we recommend: - Visiting [Jack's Small Engines](https://www.jackssmallengines.com) - Consulting with your local small engine repair shop ## Engine Replacement Options If you're considering replacing your Tecumseh engine entirely, we offer two current engine options: - XR950 engine - 6.5HP Cyclonic Vanguard Engine Both options are compatible with your Cyclone Rake and offer improved performance and reliability. ## Tecumseh Engine Troubleshooting Resources For diagnosing and fixing issues with your Tecumseh engine, you may find these external resources helpful: - [Tecumseh Small Engine Troubleshooting & Repair Guide](https://www.barrettsmallengine.com/p/tecumseh-overhead-valve-engine-manual.html) - [Tecumseh OHH50 Parts Lookup](https://www.jackssmallengines.com/jacks-parts-lookup/manufacturer/tecumseh/4-cycle-horizontal/ohh-50/ohh50-68024g) --- ### ![A person with raised hands pondering a question, symbolizing curiosity and inquiry.](https://cdn.us.document360.io/981d546d-d09e-4594-a555-445eb5296b92/Images/Documentation/Questions%20Icon.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-05T12%3A04%3A11Z&se=2026-11-05T13%3A04%3A11Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2Fk9QnsNhY3Xsmqfy5QgBeNjv0nUVoR6jjbTwpXxpKqA%3D)**Have Questions?
