Follow these steps to diagnose and fix the issue: ### Safety First Before attempting any repairs: - Allow the engine to cool completely - Always disconnect the spark plug wire - Work in a well-ventilated area ### Common Causes and Solutions **1. Clogged Blower Housing** - Remove the spark plug wire - Disconnect attached hoses - Remove the exit chute - Check inside blower housing for debris - Clear any debris found - Reattach all components - Try starting the engine **2. Low Oil Level** - Check engine oil level - If low, add recommended oil - A seized engine may result from low oil - Reference your owner's manual for proper oil type **3. Tangled Recoil** - Disconnect spark plug wire - Access the blower housing - Turn impeller counter-clockwise by hand - Simultaneously pull starter cord - Rope should now pull freely - Reconnect spark plug wire - Attempt restart **4. Debris in Recoil Housing** - Locate 4 recoil housing bolts - Remove bolts carefully - Remove housing - Clean any debris - Reinstall housing securely - Test pull cord --- ### FAQ #### What is the part number for the Recoil starter?
