Understanding Model Number Formats for Common Tractor Brands

If you're not sure how to locate your tractor's model number, you're not alone! While we have example decals available for many brands, here’s a general breakdown of what those model numbers might look like. These are helpful when entering mower info for compatibility checks with Cyclone Rake.

General Model Number Formats by Brand:

  • Craftsman – Often starts with 107., 247., or 917. Model numbers may also include a mix of letters and numbers.

  • MTD – Typically a mixture of letters and numbers.

  • Cub Cadet – Usually a combination of letters and numbers.

  • Husqvarna – Mixture of letters and numbers.

  • Gravely – Usually a 6-digit number that starts with 9.

  • Huskee – Mixture of letters and numbers.

  • Hustler – Often a 6-digit number starting with 9.

  • Murray – Mixture of letters and numbers.

  • Poulan – Typically 9 to 11 digits.

  • Simplicity – Typically 4 to 7 digits.
