Why Isn’t My Address Being Accepted at Checkout?

Prev Next

If you’re running into trouble entering your address on our website, it may be due to the format of the address you're using. Some addressesβ€”especially ones that haven’t been updated in a whileβ€”might not be recognized by our system or by certain carriers like UPS or FedEx.

What’s Causing the Issue?

Over time, many counties and the USPS have updated address systems to comply with 911 emergency services. That means an address you’ve used for years might have a newer version in official databases.

Our website and shipping partners (UPS and FedEx) require these modern, standardized formats. If you enter an older version of your address, our system may:

  • Show it as invalid

  • Block checkout

  • Cause delivery problems or delays

USPS, on the other hand, keeps a conversion system called LACSLink that allows them to recognize both old and updated versions. But since UPS and FedEx don’t use that system, they need the modern format.

How to Find the Updated Version of Your Address

If your address isn’t going through, check one of the following for the current version:

  • Utility bills

  • Mortgage or tax documents

  • Insurance paperwork

  • Driver’s license

These usually show the updated, 911-compliant address that carriers and our system can recognize.

Still Not Working?

You're Not Alone

You’re not doing anything wrongβ€”and we’re not changing your address. Your town or the USPS likely updated it a while back. We just need the current format to make sure your Cyclone Rake order arrives safe and sound.
