Regardless of which model you own, you'll know your collector is full when:

  • Debris starts blowing out of the vents on the exit chute, rather than backing up into the engine

  • Your mower feels different as the bag fills upβ€”especially with heavier debris

  • With practice, you'll develop a feel for when it's time to empty

Tips for Easy Emptying

  • All Cyclone Rake models are designed for convenient unloading, some models feature Easy Flow Unloading.

  • For particularly heavy loads, the Power Lift Unloader accessory is a fantastic add-on that can save effort and make cleanup quicker

  • If weight is a concern, consider emptying the bag when it's about half fullβ€”especially with wet materials

  • A mix of leaves and grass will weigh somewhere between the dry leaf and wet grass estimates

Remember: Wet materials like grass clippings are significantly heavier than dry leaves. With a little practice, you'll quickly get the hang of recognizing when to unload for the smoothest experience with your Cyclone Rake!

FAQ

What is Easy Flow Unloading?

Easy Flow Unloading is our trademark approach to making debris removal effortless. It combines a tapered collector bag (available on Commander, Commercial PRO, XL, and Z-10 models) with a collector that lifts to a full 60-degree angle. Simply back up to your compost site, lift and lock the collector, and drive away! The Classic model's square bag may require you to help get the debris moving before pulling forward to empty.
