How to Eliminate a Gap Between Your Mower Deck and Y MDA
If you notice a gap between your mower deck and the Y Mower Deck Adapter (MDA), a simple hardware adjustment can fix the issue. This gap typically occurs when the mounting hardware isnβt positioned optimally on your mower deck.

.
π· After Adjustment: The second image demonstrates a flush fit after completing the adjustment steps.
Step-by-Step Adjustment Process:
1οΈβ£ Remove the MDA assembly
Unscrew the two MDA clamp knobs
Carefully lift the MDA assembly off the mounting studs
2οΈβ£ Loosen the deck plate bolts
Locate the two bolts securing the smaller plate to your mower deck
Loosen them slightly to allow for adjustment
3οΈβ£ Adjust the plate position
Find the end of the plate where the studs protrude
Rotate it clockwise until you feel resistance (the plate will have some natural play)
4οΈβ£ Secure the adjustment
While holding the plate in its maximum clockwise position, tighten the deck bolts firmly
5οΈβ£ Reattach the MDA assembly
Place it back over the mounting studs
The gap should now be eliminated, ensuring a flush fit
Expected Result:
After completing these adjustments, you should see a flush fit between your mower deck and the Y MDA, ensuring optimal performance of your Cyclone Rake.
