Installing Your Engine and Blower Unit Correctly
Once your chassis is right-side up, follow these steps to install your engine:
For Pull-Start Engines:
Position the engine/blower unit on the chassis with the blower inlet facing the same direction as your mower's discharge
Line up the mounting brackets over the threaded holes in the chassis
Install one rubber washer on each clamp knob
Securely clamp the engine by threading the clamp knobs through the holes
For Electric Start Engines:
Position the engine/blower unit on the chassis with the blower inlet facing the same direction as your mower's discharge
Install only the REAR engine clamp knob with rubber washer first
Install and connect the battery pack
Install the FRONT engine clamp knob with rubber washer and tighten
Note: The engine/blower unit is heavy, and you may want someone to assist you when lifting it onto the chassis.

FAQ
Why Doesn't My Engine Fit on the Chassis?
The most common reason your engine and blower unit won't sit properly is that the chassis might be upside down. This simple but easy-to-miss issue can make assembly quite challenging.
Do I need to use rubber washers when installing the engine?
Yes, you should install one rubber washer on each clamp knob.
How can I tell if my chassis is upside down?
We mark our chassis with a yellow sticker indicating which side should be facing up. If your chassis doesn't have this sticker or you're unsure, look for these three signs:
The tabs don't align: When placing your engine/blower unit on the chassis, the mounting tabs won't line up properly
Clamp knobs won't secure: The engine clamp knobs cannot thread into the tabs on the chassis
Visible gap: You'll notice a space between the engine frame tabs and the chassis tabs
