If you've spotted an empty threaded hole near the engine—like the one circled in the image above—you might wonder if something’s come loose or if a screw has gone missing. That’s a fair concern!
Here’s the good news:
That threaded hole is part of the engine design and is meant for a remote throttle setup, which the Cyclone Rake doesn’t use. So if it looks like a screw was once there but has “vanished,” you’re not missing anything critical for your unit’s operation.
What You’re Seeing:
A threaded hole on the engine near the air filter and muffler.
Possibly a screw that seemed to be in place during initial setup, but is no longer there after mowing.
The Facts:
The hole is not used on Cyclone Rake engines.
It’s factory-built into the engine for other applications that require remote throttle connections.
No screw is needed in this location for normal Cyclone Rake use.
Nothing needs to be reinstalled or replaced—your engine is perfectly fine as is.
