Before folding, just double-check that all the leaves and debris are cleaned out and that the bag is fairly dry.
Common Folding Issues and Solutions
If you're having trouble folding the collector bag down even after following the instructions, here are two common mistakes:
The side link assembly is pointing in the wrong direction: When you lift the slide covering the joint of the side link assembly at the front of the collector bag, the joint must bend to the outside of the collector bag. If the hinges bend toward the middle of the collector bag, it won't fold down completely.
The back of the collector is closed: Be sure the back of the bag is open as if you were going to empty debris before attempting to fold the bag.
Using the Power Lift Unloader with Folded Storage
The Power Lift Unloader is attached to the blower motor frame, so you don't need to worry about it getting in the way when you fold down your collector bag. When you're ready to store the rake, the lift goes right along with the blower. If you ever need to remove it from the blower frame, it's as easy as turning a knob located underneath.
