Superior Maneuverability with the Dual Pin Hitch

One of the great things about the Cyclone Rake is our innovative dual pin hitch design that connects to the rear of your mower. This unique system creates a rigid mount by connecting at two points rather than just one.

Why the Dual Pin Hitch Matters

This dual connection point design provides two significant advantages:

  1. No Jackknifing: The rigid mount makes it impossible for the Cyclone Rake to jackknife behind your mower when you're backing up, giving you greater control and safety.

  2. Optimal Vacuum Performance: The design allows us to use the shortest and straightest length of deck hose possible, which dramatically reduces the likelihood of clogging that can occur with longer hoses that have bends in them.

Impact on Turning Radius

The good news is that the dual pin hitch does not negatively affect the turning radius of your mower. The Cyclone Rake is engineered to pivot and turn with your mower, maintaining the maneuverability you're used to.

The Driving Experience

Many of our customers describe driving with the Cyclone Rake attached as similar to "driving a bus" - you maintain your turning ability but should be mindful of the additional length behind you. After a few practice runs, most users find the handling becomes second nature.

Practice Makes Perfect

If you're new to using a Cyclone Rake, we recommend practicing in an open area before tackling tighter spaces. This will help you get a feel for how your mower handles with the attachment and build your confidence for more challenging terrain.
