Unloading Your Cyclone Rake with the Dual-Pin Hitch

Prev Next

Getting rid of all that collected debris should be the easiest part of the jobβ€”and with the Cyclone Rake, it is. Thanks to the dual-pin hitch design, your Cyclone Rake follows directly behind your mower with no risk of jackknifing. That means you can back straight up to your compost pile or debris drop zone without any tricky maneuvering.

Here’s how to unload your Cyclone Rake in a few simple steps:

  1. Back up to your compost site β€” No need to worry about turning radius; the dual-pin hitch keeps the Rake tracking straight.

  2. Turn off your mower and the Cyclone Rake β€” Safety first. Always shut off both units before you get hands-on.

  3. Unbuckle the rear flaps β€” These are the large buckles on the back of the collector.

  4. Disconnect the latches on the exit chute β€” This opens the back door for debris to exit.

  5. Tilt the Cyclone Rake collector by the frameβ€”never the side tubes β€” Grab the main frame of the collector and gently lift to tilt the unit. Do not lift by the side tubes, as they’re not designed to support the full weight. Once it’s tilted and locked in place, simply drive forward and let gravity do the work.

A Few Helpful Tips:

  • Avoid overloading the collector. It might be tempting to fill it to the brim, but too much debris can clog the exit and make unloading harder.

  • If debris gets stuck, just pull a bit out by hand to get the flow started. After a couple uses, you’ll find the sweet spot for filling without overdoing it.

Unloading your Cyclone Rake should be quick and easyβ€”and it will be, once you get the feel for it.
